I may be in a small margin of people who disagree with the hype that the film was ‘AMAZING’, ‘EPIC’, ‘INDESCRIBABLE’…but that doesn’t mean that I don’t ‘get it’ or that I didn’t have the creative imagination to understand the complexity of the film’s themes and plot! If anything…it means that I have the imagination and creative ability to see past the, honestly, fantastic cinematography that was used to cover up how desperate the film was!
There are ALOT of OTHER films that are able to stretch and take the imagination to another psychological level! These films, however, weren’t and aren’t as hyped and promoted as Inception was or is which resulted in them becoming undercover productions! I refuse to just conform and fall into the margin of people who seem to simply like Inception because of it’s accomplishment in being able to fall into the group of films that reached box office success and were deemed so mainstream! When able to analyse and critise and see beyond the things that filmmakers do to ‘airbrush’ their films into attracting that mainstream audience that ironically brings in the majority of money to the film industry, making Inception become simply another big budget blockbuster, you then realise that you are able to take your creative mind to another psychological level of not looking at films through a narrow tunnel-eyed view.
